Scott Bridges - Acupuncture, Tui-na Massage & Chinese patent herbs
MBAcC, BSc, Dip Qigong Tuina, CCPHF

For my first degree I studied Italian and French at UCL, and worked in publishing for the prestigious scientific research journal, Nature. A call to work helping others led me to complete a second degree, a BSc (Hons) in Traditional Chinese Medicine: Acupuncture and a further diploma in Chinese Qigong Tui-na massage from the University of Westminster. I also completed postgraduate studies in Chinese patent herbal medicine from the Northern College of Acupuncture in York. In addition being practitioner and director of arc Integrated Health, I assist dermatologist John Tsagaris at his clinic Energybodies in the West End of London and also work as a practitioner with the Helios Foundation in King’s Cross.

I employ a holistic style of treatment uniquely combining Eastern approaches to health with Western medical understanding. I frequently incorporate acupressure and shiatsu bodywork techniques to facilitate muscular release along with acupuncture to restore balance between body and mind. Patent Chinese herbs (GM and sulphur free and approved by UK legislation) tailored to each patient’s condition are often prescribed as required. Lifestyle and dietary advice is also an important part of any individual treatment plan.

In addition to experience in treating stress/anxiety, depression, fatigue, chronic conditions, musculoskeletal and gynaecological problems, I am also interested in Chinese medicine’s ability to successfully resolve stubborn skin conditions and diminish the signs of ageing using cosmetic acupuncture treatment. I regularly attend seminars in traditional Chinese / East Asian healing techniques and am routinely in contact with ongoing developments in modern and traditional medicine.
